Interior space is key for compact crossover buyers to consider. You’ll be glad to know the 2024 CR-V has up to 104 cubic feet of space. Conversely, the 2024 RAV4 has approximately 99 cubic feet. Both models have power-operated moonroofs available. This option slightly reduces headroom but improves cabin ambiance. If you regularly need to transport passengers in the rear seat, the 2024 CR-V is more suitable. The rear seats also offer a reclining feature for more comfort. Then, every 2024 CR-V has active noise cancelation. The system actively monitors road and engine noise and generates opposing frequencies to quell them. This results in a quieter cabin environment. The 2024 CR-V has 39 cubic feet of cargo capacity and an adjustable-height trunk floor. Meanwhile, the 2024 RAV4 can carry 38 cubic feet and only has a fixed-height cargo floor. Both compact crossovers also include split-folding rear seats. Fully folding these down provides 77 cubic feet of capacity in the 2024 CR-V. The 2024 RAV4 offers less, at only 70 cubic feet. The 2024 Honda CR-V comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. The engine produces 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. A CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive are standard. Hill descent control and Honda’s Eco Assist™ system are included for all trims. The latter enables the driver to save fuel by providing visual prompts on how to drive economically.
Honda offers the i-VTM4 real-time all-wheel drive system for any trim. This system can intelligently redirect traction to wheels with the best grip. A three-mode drive selector is standard, too. Modes offered are Econ, Normal, and Snow. Finally, higher trims have a remote engine start feature with climate control. Hence, the cabin can be pre-heated or pre-cooled to a preferred temperature prior to entry.
The 2024 Toyota RAV4 comes with a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. The engine delivers 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard. Buyers can opt for all-wheel drive.
The Honda Sensing® suite is standard for every 2024 RAV4. It brings features such as a collision mitigation braking system, a driver attention monitor, and adaptive cruise control. Lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and traffic jam assist are also present. Furthermore, a traffic sign recognition system and a forward collision warning system are included.
