What is Apple CarPlay®?

Apple CarPlay® allows you to seamlessly integrate your Apple device with your Honda vehicle’s infotainment system. This means you’ll be able to control several of your iPhone features directly from your car’s dashboard or through the vehicle’s voice recognition. Standard features Apple CarPlay® gives you access to include:

• Navigation: Use Apple Maps for turn-by-turn directions
• Phone Calls: Use your car’s speaker and microphone to make and receive phone calls.
• Messaging: Use Siri voice control to send and receive SMS messages or iMessages.
• Music: Play your favorite tunes using your iPhone’s library, Spotify, Apple Music, or your preferred streaming service.

How to Set Up Apple CarPlay in a Honda Vehicle

1. Start your car and make sure Siri is turned on. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Siri & Search and toggle on “Allow Siri with Lock Screen.”
2. Connect your iPhone to your car.

For wired CarPlay: Plug your iPhone into a USB port labeled with a CarPlay icon or smartphone icon. Some cars might require specific USB ports for CarPlay functionality.

For wireless CarPlay: Press and hold the voice command button on your steering wheel and make sure your car stereo is in pairing mode. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap the CarPlay network listed. Enable “Auto-Join.”

3. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay.
4. Select your car from the list.
5. Follow any additional instructions on your car’s infotainment system.
